Open the View/Edit Schedule menu by pressing the front panel green Enter button so that you read Main Menu on the top line of the display. Press any gray cursor button until the flashing lower line reads View/Edit Schedule then press the Enter button again.

When you open this menu, the next quarter-hour time-slot will be displayed as the day of the week, hour, quarter-hour and search field.

Review the weekly automatic schedule

Press the left and right gray cursor buttons to move between these indicators (shown below in bold print), where the active field is blinking. While one of the indicators is blinking, the cursor up button will move back in time and the cursor down button will move forward in time.

WE 11:00A Find L6 Off
0000 0000 0000 0000

When Find (Srch in previous versions) is blinking, pressing the cursor down button will find the next slot that has a selection programmed (on the lower line).

To the right of the Find indicator is the selected time-slot's programmable volume level, L1 to L8. To the far right of the upper line is the selected time-slot's time strike setting, Off, Chm or Stk. Time striking and levels can be reviewed using this menu, but programming them is much easier using the Time strike/auto level setup menu (reviewing the settings is not available in the setup menu).

Enter the edit mode

When you have arrived at a time slot you want to change, press the Enter button to move the blinking cursor from the top search mode to the display's bottom selection programming area. Generally you will only program music and liturgical bell ringing using this menu.

Remove an event selection

A four digit number will be blinking. If you wish to remove a previously scheduled selection (non zero), simply key in four zeros. Any remaining selections to the right of the removed selection will shift left.

Add or modify an event selection

If the selection is zero already or you want to change it, simply key over the old selection with the new code. Refer to the listings of functional macro codes for random music selections or the music and bell ringing catalog (PDF) for specific selection codes available. You may also enter macro codes to perform various other operations.

If you wish to begin ringing some time after the quarter-hour displayed, you can enter a pause for up to eight minutes. Press the cursor up button twice until Pau_ is displayed, then enter a number from 1 to 8. Follow the pause with the ringing event selection code.

Before you have completed entering all four digits of a selection, the cursor left button will backspace for corrections, and the red Cancel button will clear the selection so you can start over.

Online title lookup

Press the cursor down button while the selection selection field is blinking to obtain an online listing of most ringing codes. Depending on your system, as many as three different types of music or ringing will be available. Press the green Enter button to select the listing to browse, then use the cursor buttons to select the alphabetical entry point to the listing and press Enter again. You may now cursor up and down through the list to find your desired selection.

When you select the title of the selection with the green Enter button, the code for the selected title will be entered in the schedule.

Modify the audio level

While you are in the editing mode (selection blinking on the lower line), you can cursor left or right until the L6 (or other current level setting) is blinking. Press a number from 1 (quietest) to 8 (loudest) to set the outside volume level for the selected time-slot.

Scheduled volume control changes affect all outside ringing except:

  • electro mechanical ringing of real bells
  • campus warning alerts

Modify the time strike setting

While you are in the editing mode (selection blinking on the lower line or on the level field), you can cursor left or right until the upper right field is blinking. Press the cursor down button to turn time striking off for the selected time-slot. Press the cursor button up to toggle between Chiming and Striking modes for the selected time-slot.

Stk will signal each quarter hour without playing a chime melody, and Chm will signal each quarter with the chime melody. The hour will always ring at the top of the hour, but the quarters will ring with a single stroke when Stk is selected.

Save or cancel your edits

When you have finished making changes to the time-slot, press the green Enter button to save your changes, or press the red Cancel button to revert the time-slot back to its original program.

Selection carry forward feature

When you save a time-slot, the system will remember what you programmed in it so that you can cursor to subsequent days to program them to ring the same program. Best use of the feature is made by going to the time you want to program, then moving the cursor to the day before going into the edit mode for each day's time-slot.

If you want to change the program for the next time-slot, to the program that carries forward, press Cancel then Enter again to erase the carry forward program.

Exit the View/Edit Schedule menu

After you have finished reviewing and editing the weekly schedule, press the red Cancel button while the cursor is on the top line of the display.
