Opening the Menu

Open the System Setup Menu by pressing the front panel green Enter button so that you read Main Menu on the top line of the display. Press the number 3 and the flashing lower line will read System Setup Menu then press the Enter button again. Press the number 3 and the flashing lower line will read Edit Remote Button then press the Enter button again.

Something similar to the following screen will appear (the blinking cursor position is shown in bold). On screen will be displayed a function button number (F1), a four character label (SWNG), a WAIT/NOW field, and a STOP/NONSTOP field.

0000 001 Time(s)

Navigating the Menu

Initially, the cursor buttons will let you scroll up and down between function buttons (F1 is the 1 button on the remote). When the selection you wish to edit is flashing press the green Enter button. Functions F1 to F4 are available on the remote control and the front panel. Functions F5 to F8 can only be executed from the front panel (or networked Millennium Suite remote controls).

Changing Existing Programming

New selections may be entered over the existing program. Entering all zeros for a selection will clear it and move subsequent selections back. If only one selection is entered, 001 Time(s) will be displayed allowing you to repeat the selection up to 199 times.

When only one selection is currently programmed, press the cursor button to select the number of times to play the single selection. Pressing zero then [ENTER] will clear this field and allow up to three more selections to be programmed.

If a single selection is entered into a performance that had multiple selections previously programmed, enter zeros into the second selection location until the second, third and fourth selections are cleared. Press [ENTER] to make 001 Time(s) display. The number of times to repeat (one to 199) may now be entered (if less than three digits follow with [ENTER]).

Add or Modify an Event Selection

If the selection is zero already or you want to change it, simply key over the old selection with the new code. Refer to the listings of functional macro codes for random music selections or the music and bell ringing catalog (PDF) for specific selection codes available.

Before you have completed entering all four digits of a selection, the cursor left button will backspace for corrections, and the red Cancel button will clear the selection so you can start over.

The lower line holds up to four selections, or one selection repeated from 1 to 199 times. Enter the new selection number and then number of times to repeat. Press 0 then the Enter button for the repeat count if you wish to play more than one selection.

On Screen Title Lookup

Press the cursor down button while the selection selection field is blinking to obtain an online listing of most ringing codes. Depending on your system, as many as three different types of music or ringing will be available. Press the green Enter button to select the listing to browse, then use the cursor buttons to select the alphabetical entry point to the listing and press Enter again. You may now cursor up and down through the list to find your desired selection.

When you select the title of the selection with the green Enter button, the code for the selected title will be entered in the schedule.

Editing a Function's Label

When you have entered your selections from the bottom line, use the grey cursor button that points to the right, this will move the flashing selection to the four character function name.

Title your new function using the ten black alphanumeric buttons on the front panel, pressing the right cursor over for each character position.

Wait or Now Play

When you have entered your selections for function name, use the grey cursor button that points to the right, this will move the flashing selection to WAIT or NOW!.

When WAIT is displayed the system will cue cue the selection for immediate play when the ENTER button on the front panel or the PLAY button is pressed on the remote. .

When NOW! is displayed, the system will play the first selection as soon as it is ready after the function button is pressed.

Stop or Nonstop Play

When you have entered your selections for WAIT or NOW, use the grey cursor button that points to the right, this will move the flashing selection to STOP or NONSTOP.

When STOP is displayed and multiple selections are programmed, or a single selection is programmed to repeat, the system will pause between selections to wait for you to press the Play button on either the panel or a remote control before playing the next selection.

When STOP mode is selected for repeated selections, the unit does not count how often the selection is played. The selection will be ready to play each and every time the Play button is pressed until the Stop button is pressed.

When NONSTOP is displayed, the system will play without stopping until the entire performance, including repeats, is completed.

Saving the Changes

When all of the changes you want to make to the function buttons have been completed, press ENTER. If you wish to revert to the performance that was previously programmed on the button, press CANCEL. If you wish to restore the factory default for a button (1-Swinging Bell, 2-Pealing Bells, 3-Tolling Bell, 4-Hymn), just enter zeros for all of the selections and press ENTER.

Closing the Menu

When you are finished using the Play selections menu, press the red Cancel button until you see the current date and time on the display.
