Scope of Tower Chimes
Ten Notes
From F1 to G2 - nine diatonic notes with a flat 7th semitone:
- F, G, A, Bb, C, D, Eb, E, F, G
- Toll hour on F, Westminster: G, C, D, E
Seventy-two Single Tone examples of these remain, and six with Harmonic Quintamonic Tuning, although not large enough to play harmonic arrangements.
Twelve Notes
From E1 to G2 - Key of F with sharp 4th and flat 7th semitones. The low E is the leading tone:
- E, F, G, A, Bb, B, C, D, Eb, E, F, G
Seventeen Single Tone chimes exist with twelve Notes.
- One thirteen tone chime still exists with an added minor sixth

Fourteen Notes
Rare chime from E1 to G2 with all semitones except the minor third and minor ninth tones.
