Opening the menu

Open the Record menu by pressing the front panel green Enter button so that you read Main Menu on the top line of the display. Press any gray cursor button until the flashing lower line reads Recording Librarian then press the Enter button again.

You will see a Warning reminder that the changes you make will be permanent changes.

Navigating the Menu

You can use the grey cursor buttons to toggle between New and Edit, then press Enter to select.

Then you will see a screen similar to the following

Processing New Recordings

Play the Selection

Use the grey cursor buttons to find the selection you wish to catalog and press Enter. Play will flash, press Enter again to play the selection.

Assign a Category

After listening to the selection the category field will flash. The default category in Not Random Explanations of available categories are found on page 64 of the User Manual. You may scroll through the options using the grey cursor buttons. Once you have found your desired category you may select it by pressings the Enter button on the carillon.

Title the Selection

After you have entered the category for the selection, the cursor will move to the first character of the title field. Use the alphanumeric buttons on the front panel to select and press the grey cursor buttons to go to the next character (letter), or back to change previous characters. Press Enter when the title is complete.

Save the Selection

Double check that all information is correct. You will note that the menu has changed to look like the following.

Press Enter to save the information permanently into the memory.

Editing Previously Processed Selections

Removing from Random Play

Use the edit feature instead of the new feature from the Recording Librarian menu above. Use the grey cursor buttons up and down to find the selection you wish to edit and press the right grey cursor button to make Play flash. Now use the cursor buttons to change Play to Rmov. Pressing the Enter button, will remove the selection from random play. They System will ask if you want to remove the song permanently and you can press the grey Yes to remove or the grey No to cancel. The selection will still be available to play in the manual play settings or to schedule manually to play.

Deleting User Recordings

Use the edit feature instead of the new feature from the Recording Librarian menu above. Use the grey cursor buttons up and down to find the selection you wish to edit and press the right grey cursor button to make Play flash. Now use the cursor buttons to change Play to ERAS. Press Enter. The system will ask you if you want to "erase the selection permanently? (Y/N)" Use the grey cursor buttons to answer Yes or No (see the text printed on the front panel). The selection has been deleted and the next recording in the library will display.
